On February 9, it’s the game we’ve all been waiting for. After 12 long months it’s finally time for Puppy Bowl XXI.
Last year, Team Ruff pulled out the victory to tie things up in terms of which team has won the most Puppy Bowls since teams were introduced. At this point, we have five wins for Team Fluff and five wins for Team Ruff.
Considering both teams have proven that they have what it takes to walk away with the Lombarky Trophy, it might be hard to determine which team will be victorious in 2025. However, we have been looking at our players for this year’s game and we have some thoughts.
While both teams look to have solid players this year, we think Team Fluff has what it takes to pull out the victory at this year’s Puppy Bowl. This team features Hewett the Chihuahua/Australian Cattle Dog Mix, Carl the Bulldog Mix, Smoosh the Pekingese, Julep the Saint Bernard/Collie Mix, Bark Kent the Dachshund/Shih Tzu Mix, and even Akimel the Chow Chow/American Pit Bull Terrier. And that’s just a few of the over 100 pups competing in this year’s competition. It really feels like a stacked house on Team Fluff.
However, there are some gems over on Team Ruff as well. In fact, it really could be anyone’s game. That being said, we think this year could end up being Team Fluff’s year, especially since they only lost by three points in 2024. And they won back to back years 2022 and 2023. This means they have something to prove. So we think it really could be the year of the Fluff.
It really is anyone’s game this year, and we will not be mad with either team winning. However, it just feels like this is going to be Team Fluff’s year once again. And that means we can’t wait to find out who will win Most Valuable Puppy.
