We love celebrating foodie holidays and we especially love when we can find ways to celebrate those days with our dogs. And while many food holidays are not necessarily pet friendly, thanks to the fine folks at BARK (the same people who make the BarkBox so much fun), that is changing this year. At least if you are a fan of cereal and are planning to celebrate National Cereal Day.
Just in time for National Cereal Day, which falls on March 7, BARK has launched a line of cereal inspired dog treats! And you can snag them right now, thanks to the fact that they are available in Target stores and on their website.
According to the press email we received, "The Snack Pack from BARK brings the same fun, humor and storytelling that made BarkBox famous to dog treats. The collection includes mascots with their own storylines, interactive experiences via QR codes revealing the chance to win fun prizes and activities on the back of each box."
Honestly, this sounds a lot like a typical box of cereal, especially the ones targeted to children. But what flavors did they give our pups to enjoy as dog treats?
BARK launches their own line of cereal inspired dog treats in time for National Cereal Day
There are a few different flavors to choose from, including Fruity Toot Loops, Frosted Socks, Lucky Duckies, and Go Nuttys.
The Go Nuttys is a honey peanut flavor of treat. Frosted Socks is actually a yogurt berry flavor. The Lucky Duckies might be unsurprising as this is a Turducken flavored treat. And the Fruity Toot Loops is a blend of mixed berries.
Some of the treats are crunchy, while others are soft. So not only do you get different flavors to choose from, but also different styles of treats. This means that no matter what your dog likes, there is something for every pup.
Personally, I love everything about this collection. Not only are the graphics amazing, but the product names are everything we could have hoped for and more from BARK.
We definitely can't wait for our staff pup to get her paws on a box of these cereal inspired treats and we have to snag at least one to celebrate National Cereal Day with!
