MeTV Toons is headed to San Diego Comic-Con 2024
MeTV Toons recently launched on June 25th and the channel is full of classic cartoons we've come to know and love.
Since we're Dog 'O Day though, we're obviously biased when it comes to cartoons featuring dogs including Scooby-Doo, the Jetsons, and Underdog to name a few. That's why it's so exciting to see the brand heading to San Diego Comic-Con.
Even though most of us aren't lucky enough to be at SDCC, you can get a look at the schedule and see what's planned. Friday does have some big panels for multiple series and one of those is a MeTV Toons panel.
Described as "MeTV Toons: The New Destination for Your Favorite Classic Cartoons," it's going to be taking place on Friday, July 26th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. It's going to be happening in Room 6A which has a capacity of just over 1,000 people.
The MeTV Toons panel at SDCC sounds positively delightful.
Even if you're not attending, you're probably curious about the details, and things are pretty sparse right now. The panel is going to feature Neal Sabin who is the vice-chairman of MeTV along with some well-known voice actors including Eric Banza, Candi Milo, and Bob Bergen. As you can see, each of these actors have voiced some iconic characters so this doesn't come as any surprise.
Additionally, the panel will feature Jerry Beck who is an animation journalist and historian. The event is going to be moderated by Michael Schneider. Schneider is a TV editor at Variety and has been a consistent presence in the media for over a decade. The other thing worth noting is that each person who attends the event will receive an exclusive giveaway item.
While this panel isn't specifically about cartoon dogs, there are some great ones featured on the channel so there's no way Scooby-Doo, Astro, Underdog, and Brain, who is one of the most underrated cartoon dogs. If you didn't know, Brain is Inspector Gadget's dog. We can all cross our fingers that MeTV Toons decides to share the full panel or at least, a few clips on social media so we can fangirl about our favorite cartoon pups.
