Los Angeles' first Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe is a dream come true

Hello Kitty has been a fixture for decades and she has never gone out of style. That's why it's awesome to see her taking her place as a star.

Yes, the first Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe is opening up in North America and it opened up in Los Angeles of all places. I can't think of a more iconic place for the Hello Kitty Cafe to make its debut than in the city of angels.

Eater was able to get a peek ahead of its opening on September 6th. With loads of amazing treats and drinks to choose from, you'll be breaking the bank before you know it. However, everything is so cute that you won't be able to say no.

The article also noted that: "Operating next door to the cafe is an all-new Sanrio Smile Shop chock-full of merchandise featuring the likes of Cinnamoroll, Keroppi, and Kuromi." Once you're done eating, you can grab something to remember your trip by or just something to add to your already expansive Hello Kitty collection.

What is served at the Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe in LA?

If you're not based in LA, you might be wondering if a trip would be worth it. According to Eater, the fare is what you'd expect. It's more about treats and sweets than having an actual meal. Sometimes, that's what you're looking for so if you're going for your daily sweet treat, it's worth the trip. If you're headed there for a meal, you should probably eat first and then come after.

Some of the food options include macarons, churros, cookies, and different flavors of cake. There is also a plethora of different drink options, inspired by our favorite Sanrio friends. As you can see, this one is definitely for the Hello Kitty girls and sweet treat lovers out there. Personally if I lived closer, I'd venture there so if you're able, why not?

With the shop right beside the cafe, you could even pop in and get something which is always part of the fun of going to these experiences. Regardless of which Sanrio character you love, you're bound to find something you'll enjoy.
