Jinx wasn't the only villain of The Garfield Movie (2024)
When it comes to The Garfield Movie (2024), there was a lot that happened and it felt like we were introduced to quite a few new characters. While Jinx, voiced by Hannah Waddingham, may have been our main villain of the movie, it was clear that she wasn't the only one. And while Jinx was a scene stealer as the bad kitty on the block, she wasn't alone in stealing some scenes.

Another character that was a villain was Marge, voiced by Cecily Strong. Marge worked for the dairy company, that featured heavily in both Vic and Jinx's story, but also in Otto the bull and his dairy cow girlfriend's story. Marge is security at the dairy and we quickly learn that she is not playing around about her job.
At one point, Marge pulls up a translation app to figure out what a cat is trying to tell the dairy, because she knows that a cat wouldn't be making a phone call if it wasn't something important. And that doesn't even take into account the fact that we quickly learn that she separated Otto from his lady love.
Was she a terrible person? We don't really know. But the fact that she seemed to take pleasure in keeping Otto away from his lady and even used electrical prods to make it happen, definitely made her a villain in this film. And it didn't help that she was eager to throw Odie and Garfield to the proverbial wolves by sending them to the pound.
While it may have been her job to protect the milk at the dairy, she was very aggressive in her approach. And the fact that she seemed to go overboard in making sure that Otto no longer had a home was truly terrible. She added something to the story that it needed. And it helps that Cecily Strong really delivered with her voice acting. The actress made us believe in Marge as a villain.
Having multiple villains in The Garfield Movie actually made the movie better, because it meant that there was more conflict than just between Garfield and his dad, which we needed. We needed there to be multiple conflicts, because the dad and son conflict was more about miscommunication than anything else.
