Ilona Maher was a star even before her time at the Paris Olympics. If you've been following her on social media, you already know.

Upon doing some research into Maher, I noticed that the Helping Hands Human Society in Topeka, Kansas used her in a recent post. As someone who has been faithfully watching the Olympics, I absolutely love this idea.

Not only does it show some love to Ilona Maher, but it also allows for the humane society to get a much bigger reach than they would have normally. I don't know about you, but there's something utterly genius about that.

We can only hope that this ends up being the push that the Helping Hands Humane Society needs to help get all of these pets adopted.

In the video, you can see all of the different pets that are up for adoption and the background is Ilona Maher's audio. For those who haven't heard it before, it's basically her talking about all the different body types on the field and as pet parents, we know exactly what she's talking about. Pets come in all different shapes and sizes.

Some of the pets featured in the video are cats, dogs, a guinea pig, and a rabbit. There are animals of all shapes and sizes within the video and of all different ages. Clearly, Maher's sentiment rings true beyond the Olympic games and it's awesome to see the Helping Hands Humane Society using it to try to get people in the door to be able to adopt a new pet into their family.

The goal is always to find loving and caring homes for these adoptees and that's something we can get behind at Dog O'Day. No matter if you've been watching the Olympics or not, there is no denying that just a little bit of star power can help pets get adopted a lot easier.
