If there's one thing we all love about Bluey, it's how fun and realistic the show is. Despite being about dogs, the Heeler family feels incredibly human.
No matter what's going on, we always know that they're going to be there for each other. That point is proven even further in the episode, "Ghostbasket."
Throughout the episode, we're watching as Bandit and Chili pose as a realtor and a potential buyer. It all seems fine until Janet and Rita (aka Bluey and Bingo as Grannies) show up. The two are being sent to a home since their house is being sold by their kids.
Eventually, we find out about Ghostbasket, and from there, the episode goes in the typical Bluey fashion aside from the last few moments of the episode.
"Ghostbasket" gave us even more questions for Bluey and her family.
If you haven't watched "Ghostbasket" yet, please go watch it and then come back. We're going to be talking about spoilers from this point on! This is your spoiler warning.
With the spoiler warning out of the way, the episode ends with Chili running out of her "new house" and escaping the ghost. As she's running out, we see a "For Sale" sign in the front yard of the Heeler Family House. Frankly, I had no idea that was coming and I ended up watching the episode a second time just to be sure.
After doing my second watch, it was confirmed. "Ghostbasket" set up that Chili and Bandit are selling their house and looking to move. There have been a plethora of different fan theories floating around including one that Chili is pregnant, the series ending, and much more. All in all, it's a lot to think about and consider.
Bluey has truly become a comfort series for so many so I doubt the show is ending. Even so, sometimes it's best for a series to end on a high. Ultimately though, I think that Bluey will go on for a few more seasons before it ends. It's such a beloved and popular series that ending it now wouldn't make much sense.
Either way, I'm hoping that all of our questions will be answered in "The Sign." With 30 minutes rather than the usual 7-9 minute runtime, that leaves a lot of ground to be covered. No matter the reasoning for the Heeler family move, it's better to be explored in a longer episode.
To put a positive spin on things, this move could mean that they'll be closer to family or will make things much easier for the family as a whole. Either way, "Ghostbasket" did leave a lot of lingering questions and thoughts on the future of Bluey.
