In a world full of great shows about dogs, another bites the dust, and this time, it's Fox's HouseBroken.
The show ran for two seasons and was part of Fox's Animation Domination lineup. Some of the other shows you might recognize from said lineup are The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob's Burgers.
HouseBroken ran for two seasons on Fox before inevitably getting the axe and is the start of Fox's cancellation spree. As TV fans, this is one of the worst times as it feels like you're waiting on bated breath to hear about your faves.
Even so, we know that HouseBroken is officially canceled and for those who enjoyed the show, it has to feel like being a dog without a bone.
HouseBroken becomes one of Fox's earliest cancellation victims.
For those who didn't watch the show, HouseBroken followed Honey who is a therapist for her friends as she is owned by a therapist. It is basically telling their pet parents' stories through them. As most of us know, pets can sometimes take on our traits and the show amplified that. All in all, it seemed like a pretty fun show.
However, the thing that shocked me the most was just how talented the cast was. Honey was voiced by Lisa Kudrow who was joined by the likes of Will Forte, Tony Hale, and Clea DuVall. That's not even including some of the cool guest stars such as Brie Larson, Pedro Pascal, Anna Faris, and Kathleen Turner. As you can see, HouseBroken had some big names stopping by.
While there are plenty of shows for kids focused on dogs, it would be nice to see something more adult-centric. Sadly though, this decision doesn't surprise many of us who watch Fox. The network hasn't been able to keep much of its animation domination content aside from the big three.
Despite HouseBroken being canceled, you can still watch it for free on Tubi and on Hulu if you're subscribed.
