Celebrate Hello Kitty with these upcoming Funko releases

Hello Kitty is turning 50 years old and what a milestone that is. There was no way Sanrio knew just how beloved and popular she was going to become.

In honor of the queen's 50th anniversary, Funko is doing something special. The company is releasing some Hello Kitty 50th anniversary Funko Pop! figures and they are honestly so cute.

Whether you're looking to grab one for the Sanrio fan in your life or just to add to your vast Hello Kitty collection, you can't go wrong. Honestly, these are just so incredibly cute and are just something special in addition to the regular HK merch.

The only downside is that these Pop! figures won't be out until February so we do have a bit of time to wait until we can actually get them but some are available for pre-order now.

Funko celebrates Hello Kitty with new Pop! figures.

The X/Twitter user, DisTrackers shared an early look at these new Pop! figures and honestly, I think they're so fun. The "original" Hello Kitty figure isn't so original as it's actually a jumbo version of her which is so cool. That would be a great one to either keep displayed in the box or put on a stand for display.

In addition, Funko is releasing two 50th anniversary Pop! figures of Hello Kitty with one featuring HK on top of her cake with cake, candles, and 50 printed by her ear. The other option features Hello Kitty with the same 50 printed by her ear along with a balloon, cupcake, and party hat. These are almost too cute and are something I know I'll be on the hunt for.

As mentioned, you can already pre-order these Funko Pop! figures on various websites including GameStop and Entertainment Earth. Both of these shops have all three of the Pop! figures up for preorder so I'd suggest preordering if you want to be sure you get them. I can only hope this is the start of more upcoming Hello Kitty releases for her 50th anniversary as I feel like so many brands have or could work with Sanrio on this.
