Scooby-Doo is a franchise that's been around for over 50 years. The series that started it all, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! is still one kids are introduced to and something loads of us remember watching and loving.

The sad thing is that more and more we're losing some of our favorite Scooby-Doo content due to companies like Max. Collider spoke about this more in-depth and shared some insights which we'll discuss in a second. However, this decision feels like something we're going to be battling for years to come.

Collider noted that some of the most beloved Scooby movies were removed from Max. Some of the titles included Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King and Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare among other fan favorites. While this was already frustrating, it's even more annoying to see Max take away titles fan have loved for years.

Given that these titles haven't been on the platform for long, it's even more disheartening. If anything, it sets a clear precedent for both the company and its feelings on Scooby-Doo which is a real travesty since the franchise is one of the longest-running and has many dedicated fans to boot.

Max's treatment of Scooby-Doo is a lesson in what not to do.

Since Boomerang folded into Max, everything went to crap. While there's a nicer way to put it, it's been a complete nosedive from the beginning. If anything, it proves just how little Max cares for its existing properties and long-running franchises that have proven themselves successful in more than one avenue.

This feels doubly true for Scooby-Doo. Fans were excited about some of their favorite Scooby-Doo films coming to the platform and for Max to rip them away is frustrating. It's truly sad to see a platform that should be uplifting animation bringing it down. That's an even bigger discussion for another day but for now, we're still talking Scooby-Doo.

The other thing is that there are so many different avenues Max could go down to address this issue and they're choosing not to. Instead, the brand is focusing on other projects especially when it comes to live-action. Honestly, it doesn't give me much hope for the Scooby-Doo franchise and what's to come. Hopefully, we'll see other streaming services give us the Scooby-Doo content we're missing but that's just a waiting game.

If anything, it proves folding Boomerang into Max was a massive mistake. This isn't just a sentiment shared by Scooby-Doo fans either as fans of many beloved franchises are feeling the same. It's the sad reality we're forced to deal with until Warner Bros decides to either make changes or decide to shift their priorties. We'll see which one happens first.
