If you've never listened to the New Heights podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce, it's a real treat. The two play off each other so well and it's so much fun.
It's even more fun when they have to answer some questions, and recently the two were asked which dog breed would make the best quarterback. It's a fair question as the two are known for their prowess on the football field.
US Weekly shared their answers and honestly, I can say that I do agree with their picks. I'm not an athlete so take my analysis with a grain of salt. Travis started off by noting that the dog has to be smart and must get along with the other dogs aka the players on the field. That's an excellent point to make.
While Jason didn't agree or disagree, he did give an answer which was a Border Collie. He backed up his answer easily: "They herd sheep. They’re in-control animals...You saying they need to get along with other dogs is a great point that is making me rethink that." As you can see, Travis did make Jason think again about which dog breed would be best.
Jason and Travis Kelce answer this important question about dog breeds.
Ultimately, the two ended up going back and forth as they usually do. Jason is clearly the dog lover between the two as he was naming breeds and different qualities. Travis said Poodle which I can't see and he quickly shared that he thought they'd be too fancy for the football field which is true. All in all, the conversation got derailed as most of them do.
By the end though, the Kelce Brothers were able to agree on Dobermans being the best quarterbacks as they're tall, smart, and athletic. Those are all good traits to have in a quarterback so I can see why they decided on Dobermans. Jason also noted that he wasn't sure if Dobermans got along with other dogs so it was time to investigate.
According to the PDSA, Dobermans do get along with other dogs but only if you socialize them properly. It's best to do it at a young age so everyone gets along and realizes that they're all in this together. Not to get too High School Musical-centric here, but it's true.
Overall, that was a fun question and it's awesome to see Jason and Travis taking it so seriously and breaking everything down. We can only hope the two do the same for cats next!
