Furbo pet cameras have been popular for several years now, as many people have made a return to office work post-COVID or have been busy with back-to-back Zoom meetings while working from home. No one wants to be away from their pets for too long, though. So Furbo cameras can help us keep an eye on our pets from our phones when we're away.

You can give treats to your dog from afar when you notice them doing something good, you can talk to your pets through the camera while you're at the store, and more. But now the Furbo camera has a new feature. An AI-powered Nanny that allows you to keep an even closer eye on your pets, or that can keep an eye on your pets for you when you can't.

Furbo sent me a Furbo 360 to try with my pets, along with a 30-day trial of Furbo Nanny. I'm excited to share all of the features with you as well as my experience with this innovative new technology.

What is the Furbo 360 Camera?

Just in case you're not familiar with the Furbo, it's a camera that can keep an eye on your pets when you can't. With an app on your phone, you can watch your pets, give them treats, talk to them, and now with the Furbo 360, you can move the camera all the way around to track your pets.

The Furbo 360 can also auto-track your pets, following their movements without you having to move the camera through the app. It also has color night vision in full HD, and sends alerts to your phone about your pets' activities, including barking. It really is changing the way we take care of our pets.

Features of the Furbo Nanny

The Furbo pet camera is genius enough on its own, but when you add in AI technology, it becomes even more genius. The Furbo Nanny offers many benefits that you probably didn't know you even needed!

You still get alerts when your dog is barking, but the Furbo Nanny offers alerts that are even more personalized. Furbo Nanny will alert you when your dog is barking, getting more active, chewing, and more! After all, you can't keep an eye on your dog all the time, so Furbo Nanny makes sure that you get alerts when something important is going on with your pet at home. Plus, the Furbo Nanny can now recognize up to three individual pets, and you can get alerts for each of your pets!

But that's not all the Furbo Nanny does. It also tracks your pet daily and can generate activity reports to spot unusual behavior and identify health concerns early on. It also provides pet emergency alerts (including a seizure alert that is coming soon), home emergency alerts, and a video history so you have documentation of anything important you receive an alert about.

You can also chat with the Furbo Nanny. You can ask general pet-related questions, upload photos of health concerns for instant feedback and guidance until you can make it to the vet, and more.

One of the coolest features of the Furbo Nanny (in my opinion) is the Calm My Pet feature. At the sight of an anxious pet, the Furbo will play calming music and toss treats automatically, without you having to do anything. You don't have to rush home if your pet is anxious, because Furbo Nanny will take care of it for you!

There is a subscription involved with the Furbo Nanny. Plans start at just $5.38 a month with a three-month minimum, but you can cancel anytime. But, you'll get a free 30-day trial of the Furbo Nanny with a Furbo 360 purchase, with no need to put in payment information until the trial is up (if you want to continue).

My experience with the Furbo 360/Furbo Nanny

I was really excited to try the Furbo 360, even more so when I found out about the Furbo Nanny feature. I have three cats and a Chihuahua mix (quite the handful), and we're away from home a lot in the evenings. My cats are fine by themselves, but my dog loves to bark at anything and everything.

I don't want to train her away from barking because I'm afraid there will be a time when she actually does need to bark to alert us of something and won't. So, it's really nice to have barking alerts to know when she's barking just to bark or if she actually has a reason to be barking.

The Furbo was incredibly easy to set up. You don't have to be tech-savvy to set it up properly. The app is also really easy to use, and it walks you through getting your dog used to the camera. Some dogs may find it a bit intimidating at first because it does make a noise when it shoots out a treat. The app shows you how to introduce them to the fact that it has treats in it. My dog will do anything for a treat, so she took to the camera right away and was not afraid of it at all.

I love that I can watch my pets from anywhere, not just my dog, but my cats too. I also love that I can get alerts when my dog is barking. I will say that the barking alert is a little sensitive. Sometimes it picks up my husband doing dishes as my dog barking. But you can adjust the sensitivity level in the app, and it was much better at alerting to actual barking once I adjusted it.

I haven't had to use many of the Nanny features yet, but I did play around with the chat feature. You can ask the Nanny anything regarding pets, and it will come back with answers and source links so that you can read further if you choose. My dog doesn't get anxiety about us not being at home, but I did set up the Calm My Pet features as well, so I'm interested to see how they work if my dog does start continuously barking.

I'm really excited to see how it works when we travel. We usually take our dog with us but leave our cats home alone and have someone check in on them daily. I plan to use the Furbo to check in on our cats from wherever we are until our pet-sitter can come check on them.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the Furbo 360 and Furbo Nanny. It's a great product that every pet owner needs, especially if you have anxious pets or are away from home a lot.

If you're interested in a Furbo 360 for yourself, you can purchase on the Furbo website or Amazon.
