Everyone wants to feel the love this holiday season including a pet looking for their forever home. Petco Love is hosting its Mega Merry Adoption weekend for 2023.

Taking place on Dec. 16th and 17th, this is a chance for pets to hopefully find a forever home and it comes with a perk for adopters. First is that all of the adoption fees are waived so future pet parents don’t have to worry about that.

A statement via the website proved just how beneficial it could be: “More than 7,200 pets across multiple locations will be looking for their new family. Come meet puppies, kittens, dogs, cats and other small pets ready to add love to your life.” Essentially, it’s a great way to find a pet who will fit in just before Christmas.

Plus with the holiday season coming up, you want to make sure that your new pet is acclimated to your house before the hustle and bustle starts.

Petco Love is hosting its Mega Merry Adoption weekend for 2023.

The only drawback is that this is only taking place in certain locations. This might be due to the fact that there are a lot of pets, looking to be adopted. You’re in luck if you’re looking to adopt and you’re located in Texas, Florida or Georgia. Each of the states has at least one location where you can head over and try to find a new member of your family.

Honestly, this is such a smart idea and something that can help more pets find their forever home which is what the goal is. In addition, each adopted pet will spayed, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated so that’s a major load off of the new pet parent. Like I mentioned, the holidays are already a stressful time so that’s something to be excited about.

If you’re in Texas or Florida, Santa and his elves might make sure your new pet is there on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Talk about a quick turnaround for the big guy. If you’re not looking to adopt or aren’t near any of these locations, you can always donate to Petco Love to help more pets find their favorite home.
