Mariska Hargitay names her cat after a Taylor Swift song

Swifties can rejoice as Mariska Hargitay returned the favor from Taylor Swift and no, it’s not related to music.

Hargitay decided to give Swift the ultimate honor by naming her cat after one of Swift’s songs, “Karma.” You might remember that Taylor Swift’s cat is named Olivia Benson after Hargitay’s character.

The two have been long-time friends and it’s clear they have a lot of mutual love and respect for each other. There’s just something so fun about Mariska Hargitay deciding to name her cat after one of Taylor’s songs because she has so many iconic songs to choose from.

While you’ll get to see the post below, there is just no denying that Karma the cat is even cuter than the music video Swift made for the song.

Whether you’re a Taylor Swift fan or not, there’s no denying that’s a great honor. Naming your cat after someone or something that person made is pretty cool. That’s probably why some names are passed down by family members as it’s just something to be celebrated, as is Karma.

Taylor Swift has written some amazing songs with great titles, but Karma seems like such a great fit. It truly speaks to their friendship that Hargitay decided to name her cat after one of Swift’s songs and it wouldn’t surprise me if this didn’t become a trend. Taylor Swift is everywhere so nothing comes as a surprise.

Then again, maybe we’ll see a rise in popular Taylor Swift songs being the names for adoptable cats. Either way, this was too cute not to talk about as it focuses on cats and Taylor Swift which are two of my favorite things so it had to be done. Heck, maybe we’ll see some of Taylor’s other celebrity pals follow Mariska’s lead.
