Is there anything better than spoiling your dog at the holidays? We think not! And that’s where these Advent Calendars for 2023 come into the picture.

Personally, we love opening advent calendars throughout the month of December. And there’s something even more special about opening one for someone else. So it just makes sense that it would also be special to open one for our pet.

If you have never purchased an Advent Calendar for a pet, you may be wondering what is out there for them. Luckily, there are a few staples that we swear by and every year something new is released to get us excited. Here are five calendars that we think are a great choice in 2023.

5 Advent Calendars dogs will love this year

  • BARK Rudolph Treat Advent Calendar – We love all things BARK and the BARKShop, so is it any wonder that we love their Rudolph themed calendar for the holidays? And instead of just being 24 days, this one also has a special treat for Christmas morning as well. This is a perfect opportunity to spoil your pet with treats all December long.
  • Dr. Seuss for Pets How the Grinch Stole Christmas Dog Advent Calendar – If there is one story we love every holiday season, it would have to be How the Grinch Stole Christmas. And for them to offer a pet Advent Calendar makes us so happy. The fact that it is available for both dogs and cats is amazing and this is a 12 day calendar so even if you forget a day that’s okay because you can then stretch it out to last for most of the month of December. We are pretty excited by this one, and we love the fact that it’s available on Amazon.
  • Best Bully Sticks 24 Days of Pawliday Cheer – This is a 24 day calendar that features a variety of treats that will make your pet feel spoiled and special. And it is a great way to introduce our pup’s something new if they have never tried the brand before.
  • Dreambone Holiday Advent Calendar – If you want to save some money, then this might be the perfect option for dog parents. This is a 24 day calendar but it doesn’t break the bank at $12.99 on Amazon. And we love that. The fact that it also is rawhide free is great for pet parents who are looking to avoid potentially hazardous treats.
  • A Sugarwish treat box – Although this is not a typical Advent Calendar, it is a great choice if you have a picky pup who likes specific treats. We love the fact that Sugarwish lets you create boxes for people with treats they love. And the fact that they also have an option for our dogs, makes them an excellent choice if you want to create your own Advent Calendar style box for your pet. You can choose what the 12 days will be and make it something special. This is definitely a little more expensive, but we still love the variety that they offer, and as someone who has received a Sugarwish treat box personally, I know that these are a quality experience.

We love the idea of spoiling our pet this holiday season and what better way to do that than with 12 or 24 days of treats.
