News out of the White House indicates that Commander Biden has been involved in another altercation with a member of the Secret Service. It seems that the presidential pup has once again bitten a Secret Service agent, making this the 11th time this has happened in the last two years.

According to CNN, the incident took place on September 25 at around 8 p.m. local time. Anthony Guglielmi, USSS chief of communications, made a statement about the biting incident to CCN. He explained that “a Secret Service Uniformed Division police officer came in contact with a First Family pet and was bitten. The officer was treated by medical personnel on complex.”

Considering this has happened multiple times over the last two years, Commander Biden has been receiving more training and even protocols related to being on their leash. While the latest bite victim is said to be doing okay, it is definitely concerning that this keeps happening.

Commander Biden is in trouble again for another biting incident at the White House

Although it makes sense that the unpredictability of the White House might be part of the problem, leading to these biting incidents, one can’t help but wonder what exactly people are doing that is setting Commander off. As a German Shepherd, we expect courage, protection, and loyalty from Commander Biden, which could mean that the pup felt like they were protecting a member of their family from the Secret Service agent.

Obviously the First Family is doing what they can to help their dog to feel comfortable in the White House and with the unpredictable nature of the home. The First Lady’s communication director, Elizabeth Alexander, issued her own statement in which she shared, “the First Family continues to work on ways to help Commander handle the often unpredictable nature of the White House grounds. The President and First Lady are incredibly grateful to the Secret Service and Executive Residence staff for all they do to keep them, their family, and the country safe.”

We really hope that Commander is okay after what has to have been another stressful interaction. And of course we also hope that the Secret Service agent is doing okay following this incident. We are also hopeful that Commander doesn’t end up like Major, being separated from the family.
