Pairing the Jonas Brothers with their dog counterparts
The Jonas Brothers are one of the biggest bands right now and what’s better than the Jonas Brothers? It’s dogs.
However, what happens when you put the two together? In honor of the Jonas Brothers and their recent tour, I wanted to try to match up a dog with each of the brothers. Considering the different personalities within the group, this is sure to bring up a lot of fun discussions.
Whether you’re a Kevin, Joe, or Nick girl, we’re going to be pairing up each of the brothers with a dog breed I’d associate with them. Of course, if you disagree or have a dog you think would fit better, be sure to let us know in the comments.
Given all the discourse about the band and especially Joe Jonas, this is about having fun and not a commentary on them and their lives so please be respectful of them and what both Joe and Sophie Turner are going through.
Which dogs match up with the Jonas Brothers and their personalities?
I’m going to be starting from youngest to oldest in the band so we’re going to be starting with Nick Jonas first. Nick is such a huge presence in the band as he’s the reason why it started and eventually, broke up. I mean it was also his idea to get back together. Regardless, I knew I wanted to go with a dog that’s about family and being strong as Nick also deals with having type 1 Diabetes.
1. Nick Jonas as a Boxer
When it comes to dog breeds, I ended up looking up an article on Pet Insurance Review that gave me a look at each dog and their personalities. Since I’m a huge fan of the band, the dog I associated most with Nick was the Boxer. On the website, a Boxer is described as being reliable yet also protective of their family. If you’ve ever watched or heard Nick talk about his wife and daughter, you’ll see why I said that.
They’re also known for being playful and silly but also not the most open with other people. In a way, that feels like the best way to describe him. Boxers are also working dogs and it’s clear Nick hasn’t slowed down in that department in quite a while. He’s been releasing music with his brothers, his music and even, starring in movies among much more. While there were a few other contenders, I can see Nick as a Boxer more than anything.
2. Joe Jonas as a Dachshund
One of the first things mentioned about Dachshunds is that they’re small but have big personalities and that’s exactly how I feel about Joe. Joe is the biggest personality in the group and is incredibly outgoing and seems like a lot of fun to be around. In addition, this breed is also known for being loyal and stubborn which sounds exactly like him. I mean Joe was pretty adamant about the band not getting back together but it’s clear his brothers were able to win him over.
I won’t even touch the loyalty comment, because that’s a conversation for another post yet Joe seems like the type of person who embraces life and having fun. That’s exactly what is said about Dachshunds so that makes sense. Plus they’re both short kings so I mean how could I not pick this one?
3. Kevin Jonas as a German Shepherd
Last but not least, we have Kevin Jonas and if you don’t love Kevin, you need to check yourself before you wreck yourself. Kevin is the glue that holds the band together which is why I decided to pair him up with the German Shepherd. These dogs are known for being family dogs and are all about making sure their family is safe and protected. While the brothers all have kids, it’s clear Kevin is the family man of the group.
In addition, German Shepherds are known for their intelligence and getting things done which I think resonates well with Kevin. He plays multiple instruments, sings, and is generally a huge part of the group. Ultimately, Kevin doesn’t get the credit he deserves and I think that’s why I wanted to pair him up with such a beloved and important dog breed as the German Shepard.
The Jonas Brothers are currently on The Tour from now until 2024.
What do you think of my picks? Do you think I paired the Jonas Brothers up with the right dog breed? Let us know in the comments!
