Unicorns, mermaids, and dragons, oh my! Chewy has mythological creature toys

While Barbie is the newest trend to take over the world and that includes things for pets, before Barbie exploded everywhere, mythological creatures were the biggest trend. If you don’t believe me, just look up mermaid waffles. Yes, they were a very real thing. Chewy is still taking advantage of this colorful and fun trend with a full line of dog and cat toys.

Whether you love mermaids, dragons, or unicorns, there is a dog or cat toy for whatever you’re looking for. Just make sure you’re not so in love with them that you’ll be upset if your dog tears their head off. I love unicorns, but if my miniature dachshund rips off a leg, I’m not gonna be that upset.

But what does Chewy have in store? Let’s start with unicorns. The first toy is an adorable white plush unicorn with a multi-color mane and iridescent feet. It has a squeaker inside and it’s only $7.51. There is also a unicorn cat or dog bed that is too cute for words. It’s around $30. There is also a horrifying unicorn toy that has six-pack abs, but let’s not speak about that.

On to the mermaids! First is a blue-haired plush mermaid with a squeaker inside. It’s also long enough to be a great tug-o-war toy as well, and it’s only $3.98! If you have a cat, there is also a mermaid catnip toy that is equally as cute. It’s currently $5.38 on the Chewy website.

Time for dragons! Most of the dragons are weirdly only cat toys, so if you are a cat parent, you have to check these out. There are two different bright teal plushy dragons. They look slightly different, but since they both include catnip, your cat probably won’t care which one you get them.

There are also a number of gnome toys for both cats and dogs, a leprechaun, and three Viking mice. I had no idea those were a mythological thing! As you can imagine, the mice are for cats. Sorry, puppers!
