Everyone has a different schedule and sometimes, going to PetSmart isn’t always on the top of the list.

With that being said, you might want to venture out on your day off. If you were hesitant to go out on the Fourth of July weekend, we don’t blame you. It was probably busy and could have made for a much longer trip.

That’s why some people might consider heading to PetSmart on the Fourth of July but you’ll want to know if it’s worth the trip or not. Of course, if you’re looking for something for your favorite best friend, then it might be worth making the trip.

Either way, we have the answer on if it’s worthwhile to get dressed on the Fourth of July and try to head out to PetSmart.

Is PetSmart open or closed on the Fourth of July? (2023)

According to PetSmart’s website, stores will be open but just with reduced hours. Instead of being open 9 am to 9 pm, the stores will be closing at 6 pm. Of course, that likely has to do with employees getting home to eat dinner or to enjoy some fireworks. Regardless, you’ll need to make sure to get there before 6 pm if your store is adhering to those hours.

If your local PetSmart isn’t, then you should be able to enjoy browsing for hours for your pet. I don’t know about you, but I love going in there to see all of the fun leashes and collars. Plus you can always stop and look at the fish, grab a few treats for your cat or dog, and then head to your next stop.

Regardless, it’s nice to know that PetSmart is open if you’re a pet parent as your pet might want a little something extra to celebrate the holiday. You might also have to grab something to calm them down due to the fireworks.  Even though the website says 6 pm, you might want to call your local store and double-check before you head out. That’s always the tip I go by so I wanted to share it with you.
