If you are a fan of early and mid-2000s Disney Channel shows, you likely know exactly who Dylan Sprouse is (as well as his twin, Cole). And if you are a fan, you may have followed him on social media, especially over on Instagram.
If you do follow him on social media, then you may have seen the actor share pictures of his pup, Magnus, in the past (although his Instagram is relatively bare at the time of writing). And now Sprouse has taken to Instagram to share the sad news that his beloved dog has passed away.
Dylan Sprouse shares the sad news that his dog, Magnus, has passed away
In an Instagram post shared on June 23, Dylan Sprouse shared a series of pictures of Magnus with the news that his pup had died four days earlier. The heartfelt post explained how Magnus was too young to go, although any age would have been too soon for the actor.
According to Sprouse,
"The time spent with him was a blessing. He helped me cope and deal with so many things during a time in my life when I desperately needed a companion like him. We are so lucky to have creatures like him on this earth, the time will always be too short."
The actor also had a sweet message for Magnus, letting him know that when his own time comes he will be there with tennis balls in hand to continue to play together.
The comments section of the post was filled with sympathy from friends and followers alike, with Doug the Pug commenting to say that he was heartbroken by the news and sad that he never had a chance to meet Magnus (yes, we know it was Doug’s owner commenting). There were also messages of love and support from his brother Cole’s girlfriend Ali Fournier, Declan Michael Laird, and even Rob Raco (who works with Cole on Riverdale).
Sadly, the news comes just days after Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin announced that they were getting married. And we hate to see such happy news for the couple being overshadowed by this loss.
We are always sad to see these types of announcements. And we hope that Sprouse finds comfort in the outpouring of love sent his way.
