Video Game News: Dog who played Cain in Red Dead Redemption 2 has passed away
As we all know, the video game industry as a whole has been and always will be quite the booming industry. In recent news comes a very sad story. In a super popular game called Red Dead Redemption 2, there was a dog ‘actor’ who played a dog named Cain.
Unfortunately, we bring you the ever-so-sad news that he has just recently passed away. While this story is sad news, the impact that he made was nothing short of amazing to many people across the globe.
Meet Einstein. He brought literal life to a dog named Cain from Red Dead Redemption 2 and many fans and operators across the world just loved him to the core and his life is now being celebrated while he watches over the world of video games and RDD2!
Here’s how fans are honoring the dog, Einstein, from Red Dead Redemption 2, after he just most recently passed away!
Before we get into anything else over here, here’s what Eisntein’s owner, Jason Barnes, had to say about his passing and how much he meant to him throughout and over the years as his dog:
"“Einstein was truly one of a kind. From the moment we met, we formed a deep bond, and it was clear that we were destined for countless adventures together…You possessed an uncanny intelligence, earning you the name Einstein; even if, at times, the name felt like a joke.”"
Players were first introduced to Cain (Einstein) not too long after the Van der Linde gang sets up shop at Clemens Point. Barnes, Einstein’s owner, worked as a Senior Animator over at Rockstar Games during the super cool development of Red Dead Redemption 2. Since then and at that time, Einstein was required to wear this really cool sort of motion capture suit that allowed the team to record what he was doing in real life and transfer it into the animations of the video game itself. Since then, his performance has earned him a spot in the end credits, which is so well deserved at this point, if you ask me, alongside many other super talented animal performers as well.
Jason Barnes concluded his super emotional and intensely sad Instagram post by saying this:
"“Einstein, my bestest boy, as we bid you farewell today, know that you were cherished, loved, and appreciated beyond measure…Rest in peace…my best friend…Thank you for everything, I love you doody bear.”"
Well, folks, that’s a sad wrap on this week’s Video Game News in the world of dogs. We wish nothing but love and healing to Einstein’s fam and hope that he’s resting easy across the Rainbow Bridge up in Doggy Heaven! I’m sure my dog even greeted him at the Pearly Gates!
