Taylor Swift is currently on her Eras tour, and it’s creating quite the stir with plenty of buzz worthy stories hitting the news. And one of her latest buzzworthy moments is actually inspiring the National Park Service and their social media team.

We tend to follow the National Park Service to learn more about nature, the national and state parks in the United States, and, of course, animals. We follow them for their animal content and fun posts. In fact, we have to say that their social media team knows how to have fun, while still teaching us, and they are great with puns.

So what exactly happened to inspire the National Park Service? During a tour stop in Chicago, it seems that Taylor Swift accidentally swallowed a bug while on stage. According to People Magazine,

"Swift, 33, was introducing her band’s latest member, pianist Karina DePiano, when she turned around to cover her mouth and cough. ‘I just swallowed a bug. I’m so sorry,’ she told fans, according to videos from the show.‘It’s totally fine. It’s just stupid,’ said Swift, before trying to spit out the bug and joking, ‘Delicious.’"

Taylor Swift swallowing a bug leads to National Park Service bug post

Over on Twitter, the National Park Service decided to talk about eating bugs in a new Tweet. And they did it with quite a few puns that were definitely Taylor Swift inspired.

Honestly, the post is both funny, and a reminder to us all that swallowing a bug happens to everyone. It especially happens if you’re someone who gets out into nature to go on hikes, bike rides, or even just relaxing by a campfire. Of course, it sometimes happens to you when you’re on stage, as well.

It’s not just people who eat bugs either, as our pets are bug eaters too. (This can be both intentional and unintentional.) Sometimes bug eating just happens.
