Bluey is a kid’s TV show that so many little tykes enjoy watching – including my very own niece Francesca. From the bright colors, to the cute little dogs, it’s no secret that Disney and ABC did something right when they chose to start airing the Australian show on their broadcasting networks.

One recent episode is sparking just a tad bit of controversy here as it was presumably seen showing some fat-shaming between a couple of the different characters.

One of the latest episodes of Bluey is being edited for showing some reported fat-shaming and some fans aren’t happy about it…at all.

There is a recent episode of Bluey that was catching the attention of many, and for some, not for the best of reasons. In a recent 3rd season episode titled “Exercise” the show opens up with Bluey’s dad, Bandit, wanting to start a brand new fitness routine after weighing himself on the scale and presumably grabbing his belly.

Here’s what just one fan had to say after viewing the unedited version of said episode:

"“Watching Bandit and Chilli weigh themselves and openly hate on their bodies in front of the kids was really uncomfortable.”"

ABC came out with a statement basically saying that this episode will now be edited following the fat-shaming allegations. They want to allow people to have and ‘to manage important conversations in their own way’.

There’s really nothing wrong with this episode of Bluey in my personal opinion. It’s not going to teach kids anything bad one way or another, but if you live in the United States, this episode has yet to be released over on Disney+ just yet, and whenever it does get released, it will unfortunately be the edited version, meaning that the parts that were rumored to be troubled have since been removed.

Back in 2020, Bluey was also under fire when they removed a certain saying that was seemingly racist against indigenous Australians.

However you want to put it or however you personally view this episode and what it shows, it’s getting removed and edited, and there’s truly nothing that we can do about it. All I can say is this: all it takes is just one single person to ruin something for everybody, and that’s truly what I think has happened over here. I will continue to enjoy watching Bluey with my little niece Francesca as I’m sure many other people in this world will as well.

That’s a wrap on the latest controversy with the kids’ favorite TV show program, Bluey. What do you make of all of this, and why do you truly think that this content has since been edited and presumably removed? Let’s chat all about this down below and as always…….Woof, Woof!!
