Now talk about lowering your blood pressure. Watching a baby sloth or even fully grown sloths can indeed have a calming effect. Back in 2017, a video went viral boasting the cutest sloth ever, and his name is B-Rad.
The hilarious and informative Brave Wilderness YouTube Channel is responsible for bringing the video to the masses, and the world was more than grateful for it when it first dropped. The video now sits at a proud 22 million views and is still going strong.
Ah the wonders of the social media age…. Anyways, the sloth in question, B-Rad, is indeed adorable. They found the sloth in Costa Rica at the Kids Saving the Rainforest animal sanctuary located there.
Read on to learn something you may not have known about one of the wild’s most adorable critters… The sloth!
The plan at the time was for him to be rehabilitated after being rescued and to eventually be re-released into the wild, which is the purpose of most sanctuaries, but as was specified by slothoftheday.com, this is the mission of this particular sanctuary.
Suffice it to say that the segment of the video in which B-Rad cuddles his plush toy sloth in the channel animator, Coyote Peterson’s hands is perhaps enough to turn around even the worst of days.
Equally calming is the segment of the video in which B-Rad enjoys a meal—a bright green leaf—and the crunch sounds as he digs in made my heart melt, I must say.

Sloth facts…
As per a piece at wwf.org.uk (link below), sloths are very interesting creatures that not enough is widely known about. Here are some interesting facts about sloths:
1—Sloths are slow and ponderous. If we had the attitude of a sloth perhaps the aforementioned blood pressure issues many individuals face would be non-existent. As it turns out, and according to the WWF, their digestion is equally slow.
2—They are apparently expert swimmers too. This might come as a shock to most who have seen a viral video or two. They seem to be spending most of their time up in trees, but water is a place they obviously love as well.
3—Sloths can also live a long life. Their slow-moving way of life helps them in the wild, where everything is pretty fast-paced, all the time. But they can live up to a recorded 43 years of age.
4—They too are one of the animals that are affected by deforestation.
