Crash becomes first cat to be the Cadbury Bunny in 2023
The Cadbury Bunny is such an iconic part of Easter. That’s why it’s so fun to see other animals getting a chance to hold up the mantle.
For 2023, Cadbury featured “Cadbury Bunny Tryouts” again which allows rescue pets to get the spotlight. As someone who has only ever owned rescue pets, I feel like this is such a great idea and it’s so nice to see a wide variety of animals.
While lots of animals entered the contest, it came down to 10 finalists before a winner was eventually chosen and this year, it went to Crash. For the first time in its history, Crash became the first cat to be named the Cadbury Bunny.
In addition to winning the title, Crash will also be given $5,000 and then an additional $5,000 will be given to a shelter. As cute as Crash is, I must say that the prize money will definitely help Crash and even more pets which are always something to celebrate.
Crash is 2023’s Cadbury Bunny and the first cat to take home the honor.
While the prize money is great, there is nothing like the publicity Crash will be getting. I feel like it’s such a great idea for Cadbury to do this so I’m excited to talk about Crash. Crash has frankly had a hard life thus far but it’s good to know he’s going to be featured as Cadbury’s spokes bunny.
In a press release shared by the company, they gave a brief look at Crash’s history.
"“Now eight-years-old, Crash was rescued after a devastating car accident where he was severely injured and left with one eye. As he began to heal at a local shelter, his quirky, outgoing personality made everyone quickly fall head over heels for him, leading Crash to become their resident shelter cat. Crash charms and impresses people as they visit the shelter, performing tricks like high five – the purfect preparation for his starring role in the upcoming Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial.”"
Once you read that, you’ll see why Crash was given the name he was. However, it’s clear the accident didn’t hamper his zest for life or his ability to be a star. Honestly, it warms my heart to see Crash become the new Cadbury Bunny, especially after everything he’s been through. Honestly, just looking at his pictures with his bunny ears on is enough to make me smile.
If you’re looking for more info about Crash, you can visit Cadbury’s website and they even featured a compilation video of him. Crash is just so cute that I couldn’t resist putting him in the spotlight even more.
Crash’s Cadbury Bunny commercial will be released on March 25, 2023.
