This English Setter just set the World Record for Longest Tongue on a Dog

There are so many different world records out there, including tons for dogs, if you can believe it. We’ve seen records for longest ears, jumping rope, and there’s even a doggy world record for tallest and oldest dogs. This time, let’s take a look at the World Record for the Longest Tongue on a dog!

Meet Bisbee. He lives in Arizona and he currently holds the record for the World’s Longest Tongue on a Dog. Sitting there at right around 3-inches long, he’s ready to give anyone big smooches!

Bisbee holds the world record for the longest tongue on a dog! Let’s meet him!

In order to prove that Bisbee was the record-setter, a veterinarian measured his tongue from below the tip of his snout all the way up until the end of his tongue. Bisbee’s owners were recommended by a family friend of theirs to submit him into the Guinness Book of World Records after they sent a photo of him panting into a family group text chat.

His tongue officially comes measured in at 3.74 inches long. And while it’s longer than items, such as a popsicle stick or an eraser, it doesn’t seem to bother him in his day-to-day life just one bit!

Since this record stands for the longest tongue on a living dog, let’s give some spotlight to the previous record holder, Mochi, a Saint Bernard who recently passed away; his tongue measured in at 7.31 inches, which is darn near double that of Bisbee’s super long licker.

Bisbee loves and really does enjoy staying active. Some of his most favorite activities include things, such as “swimming, frolicking outdoors, and cuddling”. Because he is so active, his tongue does come out a lot, which puts even more spotlight on him holding the record, as if he didn’t already have enough spotlight on him.

Good thing for Bisbee, his owners, while they are super proud of him holding a record, they state that they would love him regardless!
