Have you ever heard of a doggy world record before? If you have, what about one for jumping over a jump rope on their hind legs? Well that’s just what this dog did over this past week, as we’ve gotta say…he’s really got some skills there!

Meet Balu. He is a super talented dog who belongs to a pretty famous German dog trainer named Wolfgang Lauenburger. Lauenburger has had several super talented pups that have shared their skills even in the circus and other doggy acrobat-related activities as well!

Balu is a super talented dog who can jump rope using only his hind legs! Check it out!

Balu and his owner have just set a Guinness World Record. But what exactly did Balu do?

In just 30 seconds, Balu was able to jump (skip) over a rope 32 times. Holy cow…are we sure he’s even a dog just using his hind legs and not a human using both of theirs?!

Where did this record officially get set and beat?

Balu and Lauenburger made their official attempt out in Stuckenbrock, North Rhine-Westphalia, earning the record for “the most skips by a dog on hind legs in 30 seconds when they both vaulted over the rope 32 times in half a minute”. Phew! That’s a super long record title alone, but the only thing that matters here is that Balu and Lauenburger we’re able to complete that record and solidify their bond even more as well!

Lauenburger and many other of his dogs have created, broken, and beat several other Guinness World Records. His daughter, Alexa Lauenburger, is also a canine trainer who has competed with her furry pup friends on both Germany’s Got Talent (Das Supertalent) as well as Britain’s Got Talent too!
