It’s the season of the PSL and we hate to leave our pups out of the fun. Luckily for us, Native Pet has the answer with the perfect recipe. And since we love the brand and all of the amazing offerings they have for our pups, you know we were excited to get this recipe in our email.

If you have ever shopped on the Native Pet site (or read any of our Native Pet coverage), then you know that the brand offers a pumpkin powder that is made with fresh pumpkin. In fact, in September we wrote about how you could actually use this powder to channel the magic of the Pumpkin Spice Latte in a pup safe way.

Well now it looks like you can actually whip up a Pupkin Spice Latte with the help of a recipe straight from our friends at Native Pet. It is important to note that if you pup hasn’t tried the brand’s pumpkin powder yet, you will want to introduce it to your dog slowly. And even with this pup friendly PSL, you will want to start with a small amount to make sure that it doesn’t upset their stomach.

So how do we make a Pupkin Spice Latte with the help of the Native Pet Pumpkin Powder?

How to make a Pupkin Spice Latte

What you need:

  • 2 Tablespoons of the Native Pet Organic Pumpkin Powder (of course)
  • 2 Tablespoons of ice cold water
  • An electric frother (if you don’t have one, you can also use a hand mixer or a whisk)

What to do:

Now that you have what you need, combine the water and pumpkin powder in a bowl. With your frother or whisk (or mixer), mix well until you have a frothy foam. To finish off your pup friendly PSL, garnish with a small sprinkle of pumpkin powder.

It really is that easy! And with pumpkin being good for our dogs, this is one of those recipes you won’t feel bad about giving to your furry friend.
