We love seeing posts featuring Commander Biden on Instagram, especially when those posts come from the First Lady or even the President themselves. And while we often head to The Oval Pawffice social media accounts to see what’s going on in the life of Commander and Willow (the First Cat of the White House), we really are all about those more official posts.

And on October 4, we got an Instagram post from both the FLOTUS Instagram account and The Oval Pawffice account. Both posts feature a lovely picture of President Biden and the First Lady with Dale Haney and Commander Biden. The reason for the post was in honor of Haney’s 50 years of service at the White House.

According to the caption of Jill Biden’s Instagram post,

"Today marks 50 years of Dale Haney’s service to the gardens and grounds of the White House. He has served ten Administrations, caring for thousands of flowers and acres of lawns.Joe and I are forever grateful for his continued service."

Considering Haney cares for the exact same grounds that Commander spends time playing on and getting in some exercise on, it absolutely makes sense that the pup would be included in the picture. And yes, there was a post from the pup where they expressed their own appreciation for the “hooman.”

We love to see Commander being included in this type of post, especially since the First Lady also shared a picture of the First Dog at the start of September where it was all about celebrating the pup’s first birthday. It may just be us, but we love seeing social media posts where the pup gets to show off what a good dog they are!

It sometimes feels like we don’t get to see nearly enough of our First Dog, so even random posts like this are much appreciated.
