Proud cat dad, Mark Ruffalo, is celebrating International Cat Day with a very clawesome Instagram post featuring one of his furry children.

Did you know that August 8 is International Cat Day? This day dedicated to the furry felines of the world is one that we can’t help but appreciate, even as a dog-centric site. That is because we love our feline cousins. And since we love sharing cat news alongside of our dog news, we were excited to see one of our celebrity cat parents posting on social media with one of their furry friends.

And of course, that cat parent is of course the Hulk himself, Mark Ruffalo. In both the Instagram and Twitter posts, we get to see the Marvel star cozied up to one of his cats. In fact, it looks like it’s the cat who took the selfie and not so much Ruffalo. It’s a whole look.

Mark Ruffalo pays tribute to his feline with a cute International Cat Day post

In the caption for the social media posts, Ruffalo shares,

"Who needs a guard dog? I got something better. Introducing claw-enforcement. #InternationalCatDay"

This is not the first time that the actor has gifted us with pictures and posts with his cats (even if this post only features one of his felines). And every time he shares these posts we can’t help but appreciate the fact that he is clearly a devoted cat dad.

Of course, we can’t help but acknowledge the fact that he totally used Dad jokes/puns to make this post pop or maybe it would be purr in this case. We definitely appreciate a play on words (we did break out that clawesome earlier), especially if it purr-fectly gets a point across.

Did you see this pawesome post from Mark Ruffalo? Did you know it was International Cat Day? Did you celebrate the mighty feline?
