Are you heading to Southern California to kick off April? How do you feel about a beach day at Huntington Beach with your pup? If the answer is yes and you love the beach, then we are all in luck because there is the perfect dog-friendly event happening on April 2.

According to a press email we received here at Dog O’Day, Huntington Beach is hosting a SoCal Corgi Beach Day. This is the tenth such time that they have hosted a Corgi Beach Day and this time we are getting a throwback theme of “back to the beach.”

This beach day is free to attend, but that doesn’t really tell us what all happens when you hit the beach with your furry friend. So what all can you expect from the Corgi Beach Day?

In the press email we learned that this event is basically a,

"consortium of 1,200+ Corgis and their companions will convene on Huntington Beach Dog Beach to compete in the ‘80s-style Corgi Costume Contest with opportunities to partake in the gourmet food truck pavilion, yoga with your Corgi, pet vendor village, photo opportunities and the Corgi Kissing Booth, just to name a few. Who will take the title for this year’s Best Corgi Butt? Come see for yourself at this paw-some gathering."

While we may not be in the Southern California area on April 2, we can’t help but love the fact that the dog beach at Huntington Beach is hosting a day inspired by the royal Corgi. And we can only hope that plenty of pups and their owners can enjoy the festivities and spend a day kissing Corgis, enjoying some yoga (or is it Corga when our dogs are involved?), and even enjoying some delicious food.

What do you think fellow dog lovers? Would you take part in this beach day with your pup? Have you ever taken part in a doggy beach day? Will you be heading to Huntington Beach on April 2? Let us know!
