Does your dog enjoy the water? Are they sporty and love a challenge? Then you may want to get them surfing lessons at Good Kharma Surf in Huntington Beach, California!

While searching for fun dog friendly activities to do across the country, we came across the Bring Fido page for Good Kharma Surf Instruction. According to the description that Bring Fido shared, “They welcome pets to surf with their owners, as long as they are comfortable in the water. Jill and her chihuahua, Kihei are on hand to take dogs and their owners through strength and balance training on land to gliding on the open waves.”

Sounds like a good time to us. Not only can we learn how to surf, but so can our dogs. This took us directly to the Good Kharma Surf website where they actually have a tab for Dog Surfing Lessons.

At Good Kharma Surf, both you and your dog can learn the art of surfing

Apparently lessons for dogs cost $75 per session and include the use of a board, balance training, a canine life vest, and more. This is a chance to see just how sporty your pup really is. They recommend bringing your pup’s favorite dog treats with you to reward them with. And you should definitely bring water for them too.

No previous surfing experience is needed, which means that even a novice pup can learn something new. However, your pup does need to be comfortable in the water. So, if they love running into the waves on the beach, then this could be the perfect way to spend a day with your furry friend.

You can both learn something new and you can figure out if your pup could be the next surfing champion. Of course, they may not be able to head to the Olympics, but that doesn’t mean they can’t get their swim on. Then again, the goal is to surf, so maybe less swimming and more balancing.
