Are dogs allowed in Bass Pro Shops?

Have you ever wondered if your pup was welcome into Bass Pro Shops? Do you like knowing which stores are actually dog friendly? We totally understand needing (or wanting) to know where we can bring our pups when we need to run an errand or two.

And what is the best way to find out this type of information? By heading straight to the source of course!

That’s right, we decided to hunt down the pet policy straight from Bass Pro Shops. And we are pretty excited to share this news.

Can you bring dogs into Bass Pro Shops?

According to the Bass Pro Shops Customer Help Page,

"Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s retail stores are considered pet friendly, and pets are allowed in the store except where specifically prohibited by state or local laws. Service animals are exempt from any statutory restrictions and are always welcome and permitted. If you are unsure if the store location you are visiting has a legal restriction that does not allow our normal pet friendly policy, it is best to call the store ahead before making a trip with your pet."

This is exciting news for anyone trying to get some shopping done, but it did lead us to do a bit of searching to find locations that maybe wouldn’t let us bring our pups along for the shopping trip. And among the cities that say no Fido are,

• Columbus, Missouri
• Dania Beach, Florida
• Mesa, Arizona
• San Jose, California

Of course, there are certainly other cities that say no, no Fido. And that means if you really want to make sure you can bring your pup along, we recommend checking in advance.

On top of the news that Bass Pro Shops are dog friendly, they also shared that “some of our retail stores have a limited number of indoor/outdoor kennels available for customers to use. We can set up the kennel and you may leave your pet there while you shop.”

So basically, Bass Pro Shops is all about making it as easy as possible to get your shopping done with your fuzzy friend in tow. And we love to see it because we admit that we are more likely to support stores that support dogs or are dog friendly.
