Neil Patrick Harris got plushie versions of his pets for Christmas 2021, the star recently revealed on Instagram.
This news was previously covered by People Magazine, and while it’s admittedly rather trivial, it is cute, and a nice reminder that celebrities are also human and do normal things as well.
Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka have three dogs named Ella, Gidget and Spike, and they got life-sized stuffie versions of themselves, which must have greatly confused the very good puppers.
They were made by Cuddle Clones, and we’ve got to say – they’ve very, very accurate to the actual doggos, so there are lots of bonus points given for truth in advertising as far as the company name goes.

While it isn’t exactly clear what two of their breeds are, someone is a Golden Retriever, while another dog looks to be a French Bulldog.

While he got his start as the lead in the medical show Doogie Howser, Harris is likely best known for playing Barney Stinson in the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, and he has also appeared as Dr. Horrible in the Whedonverse project Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, Count Olaf in A Series of Unfortunate Events, and The Analyst in The Matrix Resurrections.
(The Matrix Resurrections, of course, stars everyone’s favorite dog lover/action star Keanu Reeves, who also stars in the very-much-dog-movies John Wick series.)
He also has appeared in Rent and Tick, Tick, BOOM; Sweeny Todd and more theater roles as well.
Burtka has a recurring role on How I Met Your Mother as Scooter, the high school boyfriend of Lily (Alyson Hannigan), appearing in seven episodes.
