Here’s a fun story we missed during the lead-up to Christmas 2021 – Mariah Carey had her dogs and kids help her sing her Christmas classic “All I Want for Christmas is You..”
In the video, Carey wears a shiny red dress that contrasts well with a green Christmas tree, and her 10-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe sing out the last note, with the two Jack Russell Terriers adding harmony with high howls.
The dogs are wearing red sweaters, adding to the feeling of relaxed festivity.

Mariah Carey has had a long string of Jack Russell Terriers throughout the years, though these in the video were not able to identified. it is likely that they are very spoiled and have very elaborate full names.
“All I Want for Christmas is You” originally comes from Carey’s 1994 album Merry Christmas, and has been rerecorded by the artist twice, in 2019 for Merry Christmas II You (known as the Extra Festive version) and a 2017 duet with Justin Bieber for his 2011 Under the Mistletoe album (known as the Super Festive version).
In the primary of three (yep, three – she really loves the holiday season) music videos for the song, dogs of course appear, as a Jack Russell plays in the snow, and a Rottweiler plays the role of a reindeer.
This one song alone has made the artist around $72 million since its release, according to a Forbes estimate, and gets around five million plays per day between Apple Music and Spotify during the holiday season.
Carey has recorded around fifteen albums to date during her illustrious career, and if compilations are included, that number leaps to around 25.
She has also starred in many music videos, was a judge on American Idol during season 12, and has cameoed on shows and movies ranging from The Voice to The Proud Family, with actual character roles in Ally McBeal and The LEGO Batman Movie.
