New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are both unique holidays. For some they mean a day off or at least reduced hours, and for others it is just like any other day. But what does it mean for PetSmart?

When it comes to both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, these are as much a holiday as they are the end of one year and the start of a new beginning. At least, that is why we celebrate.

So what if you want to start the new year with a fresh look for Fluffy and Mittens (yes, Dog O’Day faithful readers, Fluffy and Mittens are back!) or maybe a special treat to get their new year off to a fun and fresh start? Then you probably want to know how both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day will impact store hours at PetSmart.

How will New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day impact PetSmart store hours?

According to The Holiday Hours, PetSmart will actually be open for their usual store hours on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

This means that even though both days are considered to be holidays (especially for those of us staying up to ring in the new year), they will not have an impact on the hours of operation for PetSmart.

I will say that it is always a good idea to check before heading out if you want to make sure that the store is actually open, just in case they end up closing early. Things do happen and with many stores dealing with staff shortages, we would hate to see you heading out to snag a treat for both Fluffy and Mittens and finding the store closed.
