Stargirl teased us with the Buddy and Staff scene and now we want more

In the penultimate episode of Stargirl Season 2, we got to see a truly amazing opening montage with Buddy, the family dog, playing with the Starman/Stargirl staff. It was a fun opening scene that showed all the damage Buddy the Bulldog can do when left to his own devices, plus it also gave us this moment where it seemed like maybe Buddy and the Staff could actually be friends (in their own way).

However, in the finale of Season 2, we barely even saw Buddy. And while it might make sense that we didn’t see a lot of the family dog in the episode, since it was all about taking down Eclipso, the fact that we did see the pup was something we really appreciated. After all, he may be a minor character, but he is still a member of the family, and he deserves better than to be in a blink and you missed it scene with Dr. McNider towards the end of the finale.

Honestly, if it hadn’t been for the amazing opening scene in episode 12, it would have felt like Buddy was all but forgotten after having been used as a tool to torture Mike with by Eclipso a few episodes back.

But that takes us to what we really want to see in Season 3 of Stargirl. We want more of Buddy, especially if it is a scene where he gets to have some fun with the Staff.

We want more of Buddy the Bulldog in Stargirl Season 3

Seriously, we have been saying for a while now that we want more of Buddy the Bulldog, but now that Stargirl has teased us with that Buddy and Staff scene in the penultimate episode of Season 2, we want more of these two together.

In general, we want more of Buddy in Season 3 of Stargirl. And if any other furry friends show up, we would not be mad at that either. But for now, we will work with what we have and start our wishlist for Season 3 with a single request – more Buddy!
