Pet mental health is also important to consider as part of being a responsible pet owner, actress and animal advocate Olivia Munn reminds us.

This is why Munn has partnered with Petco to increase awareness about pet mental health, which can include separation anxiety as the pandemic continues but humans have to return to office environments.

“As we’re all getting back to our regular lives and our routines are changing, we’re going to be leaving the home again,” she told People Magazine.

“So there is a lot of social and separation anxiety happening with our dogs. And that feeling that comes over you when your dog is uneasy, it stays with you.”

Actress Olivia Munn is partnering with Petco to raise awareness about pet mental health.

Munn noticed her dog Frankie, a terrier mix, would mark all around the house, which is very out of character, and he would assume anytime she picked up a shoe that they were going for a walk. Her other dog is Charlie, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and according to the website Woof Republic, they both recently recovered from an illness after drinking contaminated water.

Petco is offering a free virtual training seminar on their website called “Well-Adjusted Dog: Preparing for Separation and Social Anxiety,” which will be available until the end of September.

It will teach pet parents relaxation techniques and the warning signs of anxiety in canines, which sounds very helpful.

Olivia Munn’s dogs will soon become siblings to a new human baby, as she is expecting with her boyfriend, comedian John Mulaney.

Her most well-known credit is for playing the ninja mutant Betty Braddock/Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse, though she has also appeared in films like Iron Man 2, Magic Mike and Zoolander 2. She will also voice a main role in the upcoming Marvel animated series Hit-Monkey, which will be a Hulu original debuting in November 2021.
