At the end of episode 3 of Only Murders in the Building on Hulu, Oliver’s dog Winnie is found whimpering on the floor of his apartment surrounded by a mysterious powder. And with a message on the door of his apartment threatening his life next if he doesn’t stop their murder podcast, it is clear that the pup was intentionally hurt.

So of course, we needed to know what happened to Winnie! After all, this Bulldog is a major reason we keep coming back for more.

In the opening scene of “The Sting,” which is episode 4 of Only Murders in the Building, we learn that Oliver’s son is actually a veterinarian. And it is clear that he rushed over as soon as he heard from his father.

It must be a good thing to have a vet in the family, because once Oliver texts Mabel and Charles to let them know that they are being targeted. When the trio is all together, Oliver reveals that Winnie is currently with his son. And yes, the pup has survived a potential poisoning.

Only Murders in the Building reveals Winnie’s fate in “The Sting”

While we may not have seen Winnie in this episode beyond the previously on and even in those first moments when Oliver is getting his pup help, it is clear that his fur baby is never far from his mind. After all, they not only cook a turkey in order to get an audience with Sting, but they actually push their way into his apartment to question him about not only Tim Kono, but also Winnine. And when they actually do sit down with Sting, Oliver outright accuses the singer of poisoning his dog, even after the rock star apologizes for his behavior in the elevator.

And yes, even Sting is confused by how they can think that he would kill a man, even though they have definitely uncovered some incriminating information.

The thing is, that while Winnie may not be in this episode and the storyline features a whole lot more information than just what happened to Oliver’s dog, the fact that they too a shot at the trio through the Bulldog makes it clear that they are stirring things up with the podcast.

We really want to see more of Winnie in the next episode (and in future episodes), but the last thing we want is to see the pup being targeted. Also, can we just say that now that we know that Oliver’s son is a veterinarian, we feel like maybe we need him in more scenes too?!
