Disney Plus August 2021 is filled with new content, as the monthly turnover across streaming services takes place, and happily for dog lovers, there is a good deal of canine content.

As always, a variety of websites have reported the full listings of the new content, though we used CNET for this recap.

To begin with, there are four new episodes of Turner and Hooch dropping each Wednesday; the series is a sequel to the very odd Tom Hanks movie, and stars Josh Peck (Drake and Josh, Ice Age franchise) and Lyndsy Fonseca (How I Met Your Mother, Agent Carter) .as the adult children of Hanks’ character.

If documentary-style content is more of what you enjoy, there are eight episodes of a Cesar Milan show called Better Human, Better Dog, which deals with the training of dog owners and their puppers through Milan’s psychology-based approach. This aired originally on the National Geographic Channel, and two new episodes drop each Wednesday throughout the month.

Disney Plus August 2021 features a variety of canine content.

There are also the latter two-thirds of the Beverly Hills Chihuahua trilogy, starring the voices of George Lopez and Drew Barrymore. This means that all three movies are reunited on Disney Plus, which is somewhat rare in this streaming age. (For example, while all three John Wick movies are on Peacock, the Air Bud subfranchise Santa Paws movies are scattered across three different services.)

The Beverly Hills Chihuahua movies arrived on Friday, August 6, and then things are fairly quiet until the end of the month, when the Emma Stone-led Cruella prequel becomes available for everyone on Friday, August 27, and the super-underrated and hilarious 2007 Superman spoof Underdog, featuring the voices of Jason Lee and Amy Adams, along with Jim Belushi and Peter Dinklage, also drops on that date.

Underdog is based on a character from the 1960s Hanna-Barbera-adjacent TV show of the same name, and stars a clumsy Beagle named Shoeshine as the eponymous character.

There is also the start of the MCU animated series What If…?, the close of the Star Wars show The Bad Batch, new episodes of Pixar’s first TV series Monsters at Work, and various nature documentary shows, in addition to the dragon-led movie Eragon.

Doggy Con is on the way in August. dark. Next
