Looking for something to do with your pup during the Dog Days of Summer? Why not do a cruise around Boston Harbor with them?

Thanks to the Massachusetts Bay Lines, we can actually go on a harbor cruise with our dogs this summer. According to their Dog Days of Summer page, the entire family can enjoy a day on the water, even our four-legged friends.

On the page for the cruise, the Mass Bay Lines describes the experience as,

"Kick back, relax and enjoy some fresh air while you cruise around the harbor taking in all the sights and rich history with your four legged friend. You will enjoy views of the city, fish pier, Logan airport and the US Constitution to name a few."

You can cruise Boston Harbor with your dog at your side this summer

While not every harbor boat ride will allow your pup to join you, this is still an exciting opportunity. So when can our dogs join us on the water?

Dogs can cruise for free with a paying adult on July 24, Aug. 8, Aug. 22, and Sept. 12, with the cruise time being 2 to 3:30 p.m. local time. But that is not the only dog-friendly event the boat tour company is offering, as they are also doing a Howl-o-Ween Doggie Costume Party on Oct. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. local time.

The Mass Bay Lines does say that dogs are not required to cruise on these dates, but they are welcome. And we can’t help but think this is the perfect time to go for a boat tour around Boston Harbor if you happen to be a dog lover.

Considering it is $25 for adults, we can’t help but think this is a fun and affordable opportunity this summer to enjoy time with your pup.
