Trupanion shares some of the most popular and creative Star Wars inspired pet names in time for May the 4th

May the 4th with be with you! It’s time for our annual Star Wars appreciation post, and with the help of Trupanion we are looking at pet names. But we aren’t just talking any pet names – we are talking about some of the most popular and creative names inspired by Star Wars.

For those unfamiliar with Trupanion, they are a medical insurance company that cover our dogs and cats. The currently cover more than 600,000 pets across the United States and Canada, and have been around for at least two decades (they were founded in 2000).

In honor of May the 4th and all the Star Wars fans out there, Trupanion pulled together two lists of pet names – one with 10 of the most creative and one with 10 of the most popular Star Wars inspired names. And yes, these pet names are all associated with animals currently covered by Trupanion.

While we were not surprised by the most popular Star Wars inspired pet names, when it comes to the most creative we are here for this! Seriously, some of these pet parents are beyond creative with their names.

  • 9. Grogu
  • 8. Mando
  • 7. Wicket
  • 6. Vader

Is anyone surprised that the top three names are Leia, Luke, and Chewbacca? I’m definitely not. But I was surprised that Yoda (not Baby Yoda) was not on the list!

I’m obsessed with all 10 of these names, but I’m pretty sure if I came across a Vader Von Wigglebum I wouldn’t be able to stop giggling.
