Petco announces their new Whole Health initiative for pets while removing Rawhide products from shelves

Petco is more than just the place that pets go. It is also a place where we can find everything we need to keep our furry (and not so furry) friends happy and healthy. And with that in mind, it makes sense that they would announce a brand new initiative surrounding health and wellness for our pups.

In a press release from Petco on March 29, they announced their plans to make sure that we are all following a “whole health philosophy” when it comes to being pet parents. Not only did they make it clear that Rawhide products will no longer be on store shelves, which is something that started on March 23, but they are also using April as a challenge month to support and reward healthy living.

And yes, there is an amazing prize associated with the challenge. It seems that Petco will give three lucky pet parents the ultimate membership. According to the release we received, “In April, challenge participants will be entered for a chance to win one of three free year-long of Petco Vital Care memberships.”

So what exactly is this Whole Health initiative? Basically it is a way to engage in every aspect of your pet’s well-being. We are talking Physical Health, Mental Health, Home Health, Accessible Health, and Social Health. Everything our animals need to be happy, healthy, and well-rounded, that’s what Petco wants to help us focus on.
