One of the big things that the First Dogs have been using their The Oval Pawffice social media accounts for is raising money for charity. And in February 2021, the organization they chose to support was none other than the Best Friends Animal Society, an organization that is known as one of the largest no-kill shelters in the country.

If Best Friends Animal Society seems familiar to you, that may have something to do with the fact that any number of celebrities have worked with the Animal Society to help raise funds for them in the past. There have been plenty of large fundraisers and events, and even online fundraisers done with the help of the clothing line, Free People.

As one of the first charities chosen by the First Dogs to support, it makes perfect sense. After all, they are all about saving all of the animals and giving them loving homes.

In a post shared on Instagram on Feb. 28, the First Dogs shared exactly how much they were able to raise with the help of their The Oval Pawffice website and the merchandise released in their honor.

According to the First Dogs, they were able to donate $3,760 to the Best Friends Animal Society in February. They even shared the thank you letter they received after submitting the donation.

Of course, the First Dogs’ work is not done. In fact, this is just the beginning, as they are already gearing up for March and the next organization they will be supporting. In the donation post, they shared that they will be revealing the next charity that they will be raising money for on March 1, while also letting everyone know that any purchases made on The Oval Pawffice website on Feb. 28 will go to the next charity they announce.

With how successful their first month of fundraising was, we can’t wait to see who they chose to support next. And hopefully they won’t have to deal with anymore social media drama in the middle of their attempts to do good in the world.
