Feb. 7 is a big day in the world of sports. And for us at Dog O’Day it is Puppy Bowl time, which is why we are here for the way the First Dogs are celebrating.

Not only are Champ and Major Biden taking part in a commercial alongside the First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, in honor of the Puppy Bowl, but now they are adding their own little touch to the cuteness over on social media. On Instagram (and Twitter), the dynamic duo that makes up the First Dogs team shared just how cute they were as puppies in their post honoring the return of the Puppy Bowl.

On the First Dogs official account, the pups shared a collage featuring Major as a puppy at the Delaware Humane Association and two of Champ as a baby. One of the Champ puppy pictures is with the President, while the other is with the pups’ aunt Valerie Biden Owens.

In their Puppy Bowl inspired post, it’s not just about sharing how cute the First Dogs were as puppies, it’s also a reminder to adopt. And since that is the entire purpose of the Puppy Bowl (not just showing off how cute puppies are), we love the reminder.

The First Dogs share their own puppy pictures to honor this year’s Puppy Bowl

Whether you watch the Puppy Bowl or not, it is great to see accounts like the First Dogs getting in on the fun and action. Not only are they reminding us about this yearly event, but in their own way they are taking part.

We are loving seeing how the First Dogs are staying busy at the White House. And seeing them share throwback pictures to their puppy days is definitely a reminder that at one point these pups were not quite as official as they are now.
