The First Dogs are offering a specialty t-shirt to raise money for the Best Friends Animal Society
The First Dogs have gotten down to business at the White House and what better way to do their part than to offer a shirt for charity? As one of their first actions in office, it seems that Champ and Major Biden are offering a special t-shirt to raise money for the Best Friends Animal Society with plans for future charitable donations.
With the help of the newly created The Oval Pawffice website, we can snag a classic T-shirt in two different colors, a shade of yellow or a navy blue. On the shirt, is what the First Dogs are calling the Pawsidential Seal. The seal is a paw with the 46 in the center and little symbols around the circle that apparently represent “stylized nom noms.”
On the website, they go a bit more into detail about not just the shirt we are buying, but also the causes they are hoping to support. And of course, they are also offering up other merchandise under this release that also supports the Best Friends Animal Society. Other goodies featuring the seal of the First Dogs include face masks, bandanas, and stickers.
According to their How We Help section of the website, the First Dogs (and Cat), are working to raise funds for organizations dedicated to animal welfare. Not only will they be helping shelters and the animals living in these shelters, but they are also working to support protect endangered animals and even help abused farm animals.
The First Dogs have already begun raising money to help organizations dedicated to animal welfare
We are pretty excited by the idea that we can rock a shirt supporting not only the First Dogs (and cat), but also support good causes. And that is especially true when you look at the charity that they are starting with.
According to the Oval Pawffice, The Best Friends Animal Society is known for having “built the largest animal sanctuary for animals with dispawbilities and they are committed to render kill shelters extinct in the US by 2025.” Which is what makes them a great cause to support whether through the First Dogs fundraising initiative or some other way.
We can’t wait to see what the First Dogs do next and which charity they choose to support for their next initiative.
