Make the holidays even more special with a mocktail for your dog

When it comes to holiday celebrations, a cocktail or mocktail feels like a must at times. But since our pups can’t indulge, we need a way to spoil them. And what better way to make that happen than with their very own, dog-friendly mocktail?!

Now, don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with just giving your pup fresh water and a dog treat and calling it a day, but this is the holiday season and sometimes you just want to be a bit extra. And this is our pups we are talking about, so spoiling them is always fun.

Considering alcohol is a no-no for our pups, we couldn’t resist looking into possible mocktail recipes that a dog could enjoy. Luckily for us, Chewy understands and has us covered.

This Mutt Mocktail is easy to make at anytime

To make this dog-friendly mocktail, you simply need two ingredients, five minutes, and just three supplies.

What you’ll need:

  • 1/3 cup of light coconut milk
  • 2 cups of watermelon (frozen, seedless, and cubed)
  • A blender
  • A measuring cup
  • A serving dish

Measure out the coconut milk and pour into the blender. Then add the cubed watermelon. You will then want to pulse these two ingredients together until it forms a slushie like consistency.

This will give you up to three servings depending on the size of your pup, which means you may have left over for another happy hour experience.

Once you dish up this mocktail for your pup, remember to grab your own drink and relax alongside your furry friend. And don’t be surprised if your doggy customer pays you in cold kisses after they enjoy their own drink.

It’s actually quite easy to come up with dog-friendly slushies, mocktails, or whatever else you might want to treat them with, using any number of dog approved fruits and veggies.
