You can support the USPS and Military Working Dogs thanks to these stamps
Are you looking to support the USPS in light of their current financial struggles? Do you want to offer support to Military Working Dogs? Why not do both?
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is in trouble. With the current pandemic leaving many businesses closed and people stuck at home, the agency is losing money. But some people are trying to help by purchasing sheets of stamps. And as dog lovers, what better way to support the USPS and Military Working Dogs than by snagging a collection of Forever Stamps.
In the collectors section of the USPS’s online store, you can find a number of different stamp collections that include both stamps that can be used to mail out letters, and actual collectible memorable from the post office. And of course, since we are a dog website, we were thrilled to find a collection of stamps that featured the Military Working Dogs.
While we knew this collection existed, we even wrote about it in the past, the fact that they still have these Military Working Dogs stamps available is excellent news in light of current events. After all, this is our chance to support both the dogs who have helped defend our country and the men and women who make sure that every address in this country receives their mail. It feels like a win-win situation.
When you go to the collectors section, you will find over 200 different items that you can purchase to support the USPS, but of course we were interested specifically in the eight Military Working Dogs items that they had up for sale. Among the items you could choose from were a Commemorative Panel, a Digital Color Postmark Set, and even a Stamped Pin Set.
The collection pays tribute to four of the breeds that are often chosen to be Military Working Dogs, specifically the German Shepherd, the Belgian Malinois, the Dutch Shepherd, and the Labrador Retriever. And considering the most expensive piece in the collection is $22.95, while the least expensive is just $6.80, you don’t have to break the bank to show your support for the USPS or the Military Working Dogs.
This is great for people who love collecting things like stamps or dog related memorabilia, and at least you are helping a good cause.
What do you think of grabbing these stamps in support of the USPS? Have you bought stamps lately? Tell us what you think in the comments.
