Do you remember when Beethoven first came out in 1992? Did you watch the other movies that followed? If yes, do you want the movie to be rebooted?

We live in a world of reboots and revivals and that means there are some classic movies that find themselves getting remade for a new generation of viewers. And one movie that we think should definitely get the reboot treatment has to be Beethoven.

If you’ve never watched this movie about a loveable St. Bernard named Beethoven, then you are missing out. (And now might be the perfect time to revisit this amazing family and their pup.)

Beethoven focused on the Newton family who adopts a St. Bernard puppy. The patriarch of the family, George Newton, is a workaholic who eventually feels like the pup has replaced him in everyone’s affections. As Beethoven grows up, his clumsy nature gets him into some trouble. And when a not so nice vet comes into the picture, it all seems to go downhill from there.

While this may seem like just another dog movie, or maybe just another family comedy, there was something special about Beethoven that made it worthy of getting new life. While I am not always the biggest fan of reboots, the thought of this one getting remade for a new generation to fall in love with this adorable St. Bernard sounds like something we could all use.

There are any number of actors and actresses I think could help bring this story to life with amazing results and considering the original featured work from people like Stanley Tucci, Oliver Platt, and Bonnie Hunt, there are some big shoes to fill. That being said, I think there are plenty of talented people out there who could do justice to this movie.

In fact, I would love to see people like Eugene Levy, Chris Evans, and even Wyatt Oleff in a reboot of this film. It could be the perfect time to give this movie new life, after all, it’s been almost 30 years since the movie hit theaters, and there have been a number of sequels, some of which have been just as much fun as the original.

And while I want a reboot of Beethoven, since we don’t have one yet, I think now is the perfect time to watch the classic and enjoy the antics of this loveable pup and his family.
