Chris Evans has joined the many celebrities who are reading to children. And as his effort to raise money for Save with Stories, he read If You Give a Dog a Donut.
While most of the country is sheltering in place, many celebrities are stepping up to read children’s books on social media and helping to raise money to feed school children who have lost the meals that they rely on every day. One of the latest celebs to step up to read a children’s book is Captain America himself, Chris Evans.
In a video shared by Save with Stories, which is the organization helping to get much-needed supplies to children, Evans can be seen reading the book If You Give a Dog a Donut by Laura Numeroff with illustrations by Felicia Bond.
The book is all about what would happen if you did, in fact, give a dog a donut and the things that it would lead that pup to do. Not only would he want juice to go with that donut, but he would also want to go outside with his friend to do things like apple picking and playing baseball.
If You Give a Dog a Donut is really all about getting outside and enjoying the adventures you can have with friends. And having Chris Evans read the story was truly a delight, especially since we all know that the actor is a dog lover himself.
I don’t know about you but I could watch Evans reading children’s books all day. And this is especially true when that book is about an adorable dog.
While celebrities reading to children in this time of need is becoming a more common occurrence, we love it when it is someone like Chris Evans who is already known for his good works. Perhaps the only thing that would have made this video better is if his own pup had made an appearance during the reading.
